What We Do
We can provide almost any IT service for small to medium sized charities. For some of our customers
we provide an occasional troubleshooting service when their main IT contractors let them down. For
other customers we provide all the services you would expect from an in-house IT department, everything
from purchasing new computers to developing a charity's IT strategy ... but for a fraction of the cost!

Training Services
What training can we provide?
We can provide training in almost any aspect of IT, from a basic introduction to Windows,
to advanced Server management, from managing workstations with batch files to advanced
SQL, java and website programming.
|
What training do we recommend?
Our departure point is always a training needs assessment. This is simply a questionaire
distributed round your offices, followed up by interviewing key staff to learn more
about specific issues raised by the questionaire.
To start with, we usually recommend a low cost introductory training, through an FE
college or charity training provider, for those staff most in need. Most staff who are branded "IT Phobic" suddenly blossom
when given the basic skills, and quickly move with confidence to "IT Expert" status.
Similar good deals can be found for package training - Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
Having your staff properly trained will do more for their productivity than 10 times the
amount spent on fast hardware.

Specialist Training
Once your staff are confident with their basic IT set up, we can look at providing
specialist training, such as a staff induction programme, database training, etc.
We will work with you to devise a curriculum, produce training materials, and either
organise regular training sessions ourselves, or run a "Train the trainer" session with
your own in-house trainers.
|
Systems Management Training.
We only recommend training staff in network and server management if you are starting
your own in-house IT department, and intend to hire staff at a realistic salary. We have
seen many small charities invest heavily in training interested staff to maintain systems
in-house, only to see those staff leave after being offerred double the salary for their
new skills.
Obviously, if we have been maintaining your systems, we can provide a very cost-effective
training and handover for your new network managers.
