Person Centred Approach

Fundamentally, we believe that people shouldn't have to use computers at all: for most people, spending all day sat in an office chair staring at a screen is not a great experience, and can lead to physical pain, stress, depression and alienation.
Given that we all have to use computers these days, let's try and make it at least a vaguely bearable experience! Let's get our chairs the right height, sort out keyboards and mice we find easy to use, and get decent sized desks that we can organise effectively.
Let's communicate face-to-face or on the phone whenever we can, and leave email for when it's really needed: sending files, or communicating over long distances.
Let's get our IT really working for us. Let's get the software that really does a good job, and get ourselves the training to be able to use it efficiently. Let's invest in systems that take the stress out of work - systems that double-check our accuracy for us, systems that do the boring tasks at the click of a button, and leave our imaginations free to do our jobs.
Let's get really effective remote access to our offices, so we can work from home, cut down on commuting, and see more of our families. Let's distribute the important information to the people who really need it, wherever they happen to be.
That's our approach to IT - where the individual is at the centre.
